Born as Vіnсеnt Damоn Furnіеr on February 14, 1948, in Dеtrоіt, Аlісе Соореr is the son of Еther Моrоnі Furnіеr and Ella Mae Cooper. In 1976, he married Sheryl Goddard, but after filing for divorce in 1984, they reconciled and have remained together ever since.

After a hospitalization in 1983, Cooper regained his health and attained sobriety before making a comeback with “Constrictor” (1986) and “Trash” (1989). Throughout the 1980s, he made appearances in low-budget horror films, including John Carpenter’s “Prince of Darkness” (1987), and composed music for films, notably ‘He’s Back’ for “Jason Lives: Friday the 13th Part VI” (1986). Cooper kept touring, frequently alongside other heavy metal bands. His notable later albums include “Hey Stoopid” (1991), “The Last Temptation” (1994), “Dragontown” (2001), “Dirty Diamonds” (2005), “Along Came a Spider” (2008; a concept album centered around a fictional serial killer), “Welcome 2 My Nightmare” (2011), “Paranormal” (2017), and “Detroit Stories” (2021).

Occasionally, Cooper has dabbled in acting, famously portraying himself in films like “Wayne’s World” (1992) and “Dark Shadows” (2012), as well as taking on the role of the title character’s father in “Freddy’s Dead: The Final Nightmare” (1991).
